SWG are trying something new. Instead of giving you a workout every issue, we’re going to give you a goal, a challenge so to speak. We’re going to break each goal up over two issues so you have roughly two months to do it PLUS we’re going to give you tips, advice and goal specific exercises to help you achieve them! Plus one lucky reader gets to show off her progress in the magazine.
So over the course of the year, we are going to get you to tick these awesome things off your to do list.
1. Learn how to B-Girl (hip hop dance) Step Up style
2. Run a 10KM run
3. Learn how to kick box (or kick anybody’s ass)
4. Learn how to ride a wave on a surfboard
The even more awesome thing is, to encourage you awesome chicas, we’re going to profile one lucky reader for each challenge. Yes, that means you get to be in the magazine, a before and after pic, get interviewed by the team and have a chance to give your fellow readers some real life advice on the challenge! We’ll give you a personal workout routine and pep talks throughout the challenge!
The first challenge we’re giving you is to become B-Girl/Hip Hop dancer. We want you to be winning battles by the end of it. LOL. Don’t be afraid, when you break it down it’s not as crazy difficult as you think. In fact, you can all do it.
So if you want to be profiled in our magazine, email firstname.lastname@example.org with a short (SHORT girls) motivation as to why you think you should be our guinea pig. Erm, we mean volunteer. We don’t care what shape or size you are, whether you have two left feet or if you’re completely unfit.
