The Lauri Kubuitsile bookclub :)

Wow what an amazing experience to read an enjoyable book and meet the author in person!
Signed, Hopelessly In Love is a short novel based on a young girl, Amo who has a huge crush on the gorgeous headboy. Amo is an avid journalist and works hard on her articles for the school paper. So when she’s asked to do the schools anonymous agony aunt column she reluctantly agrees thinking it could ruin her reputation as a journalist if people find out it’s her. However it turns out much better than she thinks when her crush writes into the column asking advice on a girl he’s crushing on! I don’t want to give too much of the story away but the ending was unexpected and I found it quite sweet
Meeting Lauri for dinner was fantastic! Shes a lovely lady, very friendly and outgoing and she kept making such funny jokes! We went to Royale Kitchen in Long Street, Cape Town and the dinner was with a few other girls representing different magazines. Everyone was so nice to each other and very chatty. We all indulged in massive burgers and lots of ice-cream with yummy toppings and we laughed the whole night away with Lauri. We also asked her questions about the book, gave feedback, heard more about her, spoke about ourselves and also got to hear about books Lauri has already published or ones that she’s still working on and her process of writing books! It was very interesting to hear what she had to say and we all had so much fun when the night was over none of us wanted to leave!
Thank you SWG for this awesome opportunity, Lauri for a great book and fun dinner and Hevette for organising a large part of the evening!
Definitely a night to remember!
