9 easy steps to apply make up like a pro!!

Growing up with a mother always watching me applying makeup and giving tips along the way, it all comes naturally for me now.
Here are a few tips for those of you who don’t know where to start or finish.

Step 1: Preparation
Exfoliate your skin with a product of your choice, you don’t want to apply makeup on an oily or dirty skin. This will cause break-outs.
Step 2: Conceal
Choose a concealer one shade lighter than you skin tone and apply it to all the dark spots/areas on your face.
Step 3: Foundation
Choose a foundation that matches your skin tone. Use your finger tips or a brush to apply, then use a sponge to blend evenly.
Tip: Do not use your sponge to apply – you will waste a lot of your foundation as the sponge soaks up a lot of the liquid.
Step 4: Eye Shadow
Apply base colour on the upper eyelid.
Put contour colour along your lashes and in the crease of your eye, add more colour in the corner of your eye – connecting the colour along the lashes and the crease.
Use a highlight colour under the brow and in the corner of your eye.
Step 5: Eyeliner
Line Your Eyes. For a subtle look, use pencil eyeliner. For a dramatic look, use liquid eyeliner. The most subtle looks of eyeliner include black and brown. Blue, green, purple, or any other colour eyeliner should only be used for fun events. Make sure to have the line as thin as possible. For a winged look, have the liner thin near the inner corner of your eye, and thicker towards the outer corner of your eye.
Step 6: Mascara
If you want a natural look use a colour close to your natural colour and only apply one coat. For a more dramatic look apply 2 coats.
Step 7: Blush
Apply Blush on the apples of your cheeks blending it upwards to your hairline. For fair shades, you can use red-pinkish toned blushes, medium skin should use pinkish-orange toned blush and pink shimmer, red, and brown toned blushes work for dark skin.
Step 8: Lipstick/Gloss
Choose a lipstick colour that matches your skin tone and the look is perfect for your day. Apply lipgloss over your lipstick.
Step 9: “Set” your Make up.
Spray a Makeup “fix” over your face – this way everything will stay perfect throughout the day.
