The concept is simple for two single friends Julie (Jennifer Westfeldt) and Jason (Adam Scott). Instead of waiting for their perfect girl/guy they’re going to have a child together so that afterwards they can continue searching for their soul-mates without stressing about getting too old to have kids. Also, their group of friends which are couples are not the perfect example of happily married families with kids. There’s Leslie (Maya Rudolph) and Alex (Chris O’Dowd) who are constantly arguing and Missy (Kristen Wiig) and Ben (Jon Hamm) who cant stand each other anymore after having their child.So thy set off on their mission to be friends who share a child and everything seems to be going well until they start dating other people.

With a lot of the Bridesmaids movie cast, I expected this movie to be really funny but it wasn’t really. That’s not to say its not a good movie. It’s pretty great actually and although the end is predictable, it’s still a heart warming story. It’s just not as hilarious as you’d probably think it would be.

Great one for a girls night in.
