This is a heartwarming story about Ansiedad (Cierra Ramirez) who lives with her mother Grace (Eva Mendas) but is more of a parent than her mother is. Grace is a single mum, juggling work, bills and having an affair with a married doctor. In between all of things in her life, she doesn’t have time for her daughter and basically leaves Ansiedad to parent herself. Tired of this life Ansiedad, with the help of her BFF Tavita (Raini Rodriguez), plots to find a way to growing up faster using the coming-of-age stories she’s reading for school. In this way she hopes to become an adult quickly and leave her mother.

This is a great movie, filled with a few laughs but mostly a lot of thought provoking and heart warming moments. Great one for you and your mum to catch together.
