Forbes has just released its list of the richest rappers in the world and on top of that list is hip hop veteran, Diddy.

Diddy makes and is worth $550 million (R4950 billion) each year! Yep, you read right and the money he makes from his music is just the tip of the ice berg. He is the spokesperson and part owner of Ciroc Vodka. He’s got stakes in the Sean John & Enyce clothing companies, has a marketing firm Blue Flame and a few tech start-up companies. Plus lets not forget his own Bad Boy label which produces artists like Cassie.

Following behind him is Jay Z who has a networth of $460 million (R4140 billion).  He’s making his money from his music, his recording label that produces artists like Rihanna, his ownership of some clubs, restaurants, a basketball team and the beauty company Carol’s Daughter.

Third place on the list goes to Dr Dre, then Birdman is 4th and then 50cents is number 5 with a net worth of $110 million (R990 million).

Jeez, talk about rolling in the loot!
