FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: THE CRYSTAL BEARERS
NINTENDO Wii (Only)
Anyone with even a pinch of techno savvy will at least know the name, Final Fantasy. So when five years ago Nintendo Wii announced that they're going to create a Final Fantasy game solely for Wii, it got everybody's attention, and we waited in anticipation for its arrival! Now that it has finally been released, that anticipation feels like a deflated balloon. While the graphics and initial impression of the game is amazing, that wears off very quickly and you're left feeling slightly disappointed.
The story line goes that centuries after the last Crystal Chronicles there is a power struggle between two conflicting tribes. Technology rules and magic is seen as a no, no that's only used by misfits called Crystal Bearers. Layle is the hero of the day, a crystal bearer who has a knack for getting into dangerous adventures.
The visuals are awesome and the story is interesting. The game caters for all kinds of people and the fight scenes are exciting. Ultimately though, The Crystal Bearers comes across as half-finished, somewhat lacking and a let-down after such a lengthy wait.
