From your cool attitude to allowance money, here are 13 things you should give away!
1. Stuff you don't need You've worn them to death and they've served you well. But go on and give those old jeans to charity! Donate stuff you don't use or need - it could help someone who doesn't have the money to buy new clothes or books.
2. Advice that you'd rate We all have many pearls of wisdom we could dish our friends when they're having a stressful time, but it's a better idea to give away the advice we would take in our own lives. Otherwise we're just being hypocrites.
3. Your smile Give a smile to people you meet - including that sexy stranger at the supermarket. Who knows what could happen? At the very least it's a confidence boost.
4. Your allowance money Okay, so you need your cash for new swag or hanging out with mates, but that doesn't mean you can't spare a bit for someone who really could use it. It'll make you feel so good to know you've made a difference by putting food on someone's table.
5. Feel-good music Music is amazing- it can boost your mood like nothing else. But it's even more powerful when you share it. So transfer a track or two to a friend who needs a mood enhancement or some inspiration.
6. A kind word You might think money holds power, but don't underestimate what your words can do for someone. You know how insults hurt like hell, right? Well, the good news is that a compliment can be just as powerful, but make a person feel so much better! So tell someone you care about that you love their style, or that they're super-cool. Make their day.
7. That no-good boyfriend Sometimes we get stuck in relationships with guys who are no good for us! But ‘nuff of that! So the next time your boyfriend makes a play for another girl or leaves you hanging all week, donate him to the land of singledom and trade him in for a different dude.
8. Things that can be recycled Our world's not gonna get any healthier unless we look after it better. Many things can be recycled, so go on and recycle! It'll be your good deed to our beautiful world.
9. Anything that ties you to the past It's never good to linger in the past or haul emotional baggage through life. It's heavy and a burden. Let it go! Write down everything that haunts you, scars you and makes you fearful of the future, and then burn that piece of paper. There, don't you feel lighter?
10. Something you love Sometimes we put way too much emphasis on possessions that we love but don't need. But guess what? You can live without your x-box, that gorgeous Guess handbag or your cell phone. So why not step up to the challenge of giving it to a friend or someone who can get as much joy out of it as you did? It's liberating and you'll feel good about it.
11. A cool secret about you Go on and confess a secret about yourself that no one knows. Let the world see who you are, quirks included. But, please, don't be showing the world your personal (and oh-so private) diary! There is such a thing as T.M.I!
12. Your insecurities We all feel insecure about certain characteristics of ourselves, whether they're internal or external. But that doesn't mean you should feel any less confident! Focus on the cool things you do have and go out there and strut your stuff.
13. Any good deed that's called for Your friend is miffed ‘cause her car broke down. Your mom needs help with carrying those heavy groceries. Or, your younger sibling is battling with homework. Whatever good deed is required of you, go on and help out. You never know when you'll need one back and you'll score some great karma!
