Sand, surf and hotties all around! When hitting the beach don't forget a towel so you can wipe away all the drool. Here are 13 reasons why we love those tanned babes.

1. You can perve without being rude
You can't exactly hit the beach wearing all your clothes, so it's not really our fault for perving over those hotties and their gorgeous abs. Who needs a book (other than as a cover) when there are such eye delights roaming the scene?

2. They're easy to approach
In a supermarket or club it's not always easy to go over and chat to a hot guy. But on the beach, things are more casual. Plus, you can bond over your love of beach volleyball or surfing, which makes for a great convo opener.

3. Speaking of surfers...
There are few things sexier than a guy catching waves. Surfers spark imagery of athletic, toned and fun-loving guys.

4. Chilled, dude
There's something really cool about beach boys, especially if you hail from a fast-paced city: they've got a really contagious mellow vibe. They love anything that's ‘chilled' - the weather, the beach or your relaxed convo.

5. Tanned bods
Need I say more? But being tanned is more than sexy - it's vibrant and healthy-looking.

6. Low fashion maintenance
He doesn't have to worry too much about taking care of his fashion sense (which is great especially if he doesn't have any) because all he'll be wearing are shorts and maybe a t-shirt... but only on cloudy days.

When you love something, you'll fight for it. So bring on those petitions to make a difference, such as looking after our spectacular beaches and saving aquatic animals. It's all about going green and these beach boys know what that's about!
