Five cool beach dates

Beach Date

The beach is a great setting for a date. Best of all, you don't have to worry too much about dolling up because natural's the way to go!  Here are some fun beach date ideas to try.

1. Picnic at sunset
When last did you have a picnic? That long ago, huh? Well, now's the time to try it out again ‘cause there are few things more romantic than a picnic with a hot guy and a beautiful sunset to watch. Pack a basket of delicious sarmies and desserts, and enjoy sharing your meal together without any distractions, such as other diners at a noisy restaurant. As an extra, if he's a singer, ask him to bring his guitar; or if you're an artist you can offer to sketch him on the beach.

2. Scavenger hunt
This is a fun option - go your separate ways for a bit and find each other a cute gift on the beach. Think out the box! Search for anything pretty that catches your eye, from colourful pieces of glass that are in funky shapes to interesting rocks, or cool seashells. This is a great way to be creative and do something different.

3. Bonfire
Get a group of friends together and hit the beach for a bonfire. This is a cool idea for group dates (especially if you're on a first date and quite nervous about it), but it also gives you and your guy the chance to get some time alone if you wish. You can take a walk away from the others or cuddle by the fire and roast marshmallows.

4. Ride horses
There's so much more to dates than spending time at romantic bistros or catching the latest romcom. Riding horses on the beach is a great way to have some fun together - have a race along the coastline, or enjoy a slow trot as you chat and get to know each other better. This is a way you can bond with each other and enjoy an activity together that neither of you will forget.

5. Bring adrenaline along
If you're both adventurous types, why not increase the pace on your date? That's where adrenaline comes in! Organise to ride speed boats, or try water skiing, windsurfing or wakeboarding. Not only will you have a stoked time, but he'll love the idea that you're such a fun-loving girl who spared him from having to think up conversation topics on a quiet date.
